The fundamental part of the general repair of this turbine consisted in modernization and replacement of the rotor and stator blading. The inner and outer surfaces of the turbine casing were corroded. The original blades were damaged by pitting and the outlet edges were flashed. Whole surface of the rotor flow section was covered with a layer of corrosion and impurities. Also the strips of the steam glands were damaged.

Within the scope of this general repair it was realized complete re-blading of the rotor and stator sections. It was completely replaced the nozzle wheel with nozzles. Then it was made re-stripping of the rotor steam glands, a repair of the oil glands, bearings, replacement of connection material of the split plane, the valve chamber and the flanges of the inlet steam pipelines. It was also made a repair of the valve chamber cover and sand-blasting of the turbine casing.
